How Topline uses your data

Last updated 28 September 2026

Topline uses the copy you submit to give you a performance opinion. Sharing aggregate campaign results is optional. We do not ask for message-recipient data, and we do not currently train models on your copy or results.

What Topline keeps

When you check a line, Topline stores the exact text, channel, score, verdict, time, brand and workspace, and whether the request came from a Topline user, connected assistant or API key. This gives your team its history and usage information.

Optional campaign results

After a campaign, you may choose to share the exact line and aggregate totals: sends or impressions, clicks, and optional aggregate opens, attributed revenue, channel and send date. Topline displays those totals alongside its earlier opinion so you can compare predicted and actual performance.

Topline does not connect directly to your email or advertising platform. A result reaches Topline only when you, your API client or a connected assistant acting on your instructions submits it.

No recipient data

Topline does not solicit or provide fields for subscriber lists, recipient names or addresses, telephone numbers, device identifiers, or recipient-level engagement events. Do not send that information. Aggregate totals that do not identify a person are still treated as confidential Customer Content.

Scoring and model training

Submitted text is sent to Jacquard's self-hosted Neural 2.1 service in the same AWS Ireland environment so that it can return a score or verdict. The scoring service processes the text for that request; it does not use the request to train itself.

Jacquard does not currently use submitted copy or aggregate campaign results to train or improve Neural 2.1 or another model. We would not introduce that use without first updating the applicable terms and privacy information and establishing an appropriate legal and technical process. A customer-specific written agreement may expressly permit different use.

Your AI assistant

If you use Topline through an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, your conversation is first processed by that provider under your agreement with it. Topline receives only what the assistant sends in a Topline tool call. The connected assistant may send drafts for scoring and may submit aggregate results when you ask it to. It cannot use Topline to send anything to your customers.

Confidentiality and sharing

We do not show your copy or results to other customers or sell them. We limit access to people and service providers who need it to provide, secure and support Topline, and we treat unreleased campaign copy and campaign performance as confidential.

Retention and deletion

We keep copy and aggregate results while the workspace is active. Following workspace closure or a verified deletion request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise them within 30 days, subject to legal holds or legal obligations. Residual backup copies expire no later than 90 days after operational deletion. Until deletion is automated, requests are completed through a controlled manual process.
